Atlanta-based Delta Airlines began operating passenger services in 1929, and has now become one of North America's largest airlines, employing some 60,000 people. Delta operates almost 3000 flights a day to 200 cities around the world, with a fleet of over 500 airliners. The carrier was the second launch customer for the Boeing 767, the first equipped with GE engines, which received type certification in October 1982.
In 1984, Delta placed orders for the 767-300. In 1997, the familiar Delta livery received a new look. This was the first change in 35 years, following a review of over a hundred designs submitted by their advertising consultants. Earlier this year, another milestone was reached when Delta took delivery of the B767-400. We are proud to present this Delta replica to commemorate this milestone.
