55237 Delta B777-200
Towards the end of 1995, Delta started looking around for a type to replace their ageing fleet of 56 L-1011 Tristars. Following a comprehensive evaluation, the Atlanta-based carrier concluded a 20-year fleet renewal agreement with Boeing in March 1997 for up to 644 aircraft. At that time, only ten options were taken for the B777-200 powered by Rolls Royce Trent engines. By early this year, seven of these were delivered, all of which are extended range models. Here's the pride of Boeing and Delta, just for you.
