DELTA MD-11 (1999 LIVERY)
In terms of passengers carried, Delta is the world's largest airline. It won this distinction when it carried 105.5 million passengers in 1999. 1997 was the first year that it hit the 100 million mark. This was also the year when Leo F Mullin took the helm of Delta as President and CEO. 1997 also marked the year when a new corporate identity and aircraft livery was approved. This new livery now adorns the MD-11 re-release, which now comes with the option of polished or chromed bellies for enhanced realism. The Delta livery underwent another change in March 2000 with a new tail design and the words "Air Lines" dropped from the fuselage titling.
